About me
Carla Byrd is a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) with over 15 years of experience in Human Resources, including extensive time in both the private and public sectors. She joined the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) 3.5 years ago as an HR Associate, quickly advancing to Benefits Coordinator and currently serving as Senior HR Manager.
In her role, Carla manages PSTA’s benefits and wellness programs, FMLA and other leave programs, and supports employee relations and the Drug & Alcohol Program. She also brings 15 years of union experience as a Chief Steward and officer and was twice elected as a delegate to the international convention.
Carla is known for her collaborative leadership, strong employee advocacy, and commitment to creating a positive, compliant workplace culture.
