Gus Castro – City of Orlando Transportation Projects Coordinator
Gus is an urban visionary with vast work experience in transportation studies, traffic/transit operations, forecasting, mobility policies, project management, developments review, and data analyses. He has represented the city in regional transportation matters, participated in several transportation plans and was instrumental in the nationally recognized Edgewater Drive Road Diet project. He recently contributed to the Orlando Packing District Complete Streets vision, wrote the city’s first Bicycle Plan, and his 2019 North Quarter Transportation Vision project won an award for Outstanding Development-Design Excellence at the Florida Planning and Zoning Association. Gus has served as a panelist in Complete Streets webinars and is an active member of the American Planning Association.
